Growers working together
The Northern Wairoa Vegetable Growers Association supports and represents vegetable growers in the Northland region.
Representation
We represent our growers with the national bodies NZVeg (the NZ Vegetable Council), Vegetables NZ Inc. and Horticulture NZ, making sure Northland's voice is heard on the issues that affect local growers.
Support
We bulk-order plastic and chemicals to give individual growers the buying power of a large group, and organise training and workshops for growers.
Promotion & community
We take part in and support local events — for example donating kūmara to the NZ Young Farmers Competition and the Kai Iwi Lakes Triathlon, and running a horticulture module at the Arapohue A&P Show.
